The Immersive Coffee Program
Our core service is an all-inclusive, multi-week coffee training program. It is designed for individuals with a deep passion for coffee who are seeking comprehensive, hands-on knowledge—whether for professional development, entrepreneurial ambitions, or personal enrichment.
The program is structured in two key parts:
1. Farm Immersion (Week 1):
Participants travel to the Kaffa region, the birthplace of coffee, for a hands-on experience on local farms. They learn about coffee cultivation, harvesting, and processing directly from the producers
2. Technical Training (Following Weeks):
Back in Addis Ababa, participants undergo an intensive professional training course at a partner facility like Yoya Coffee Academy. This portion covers the four main disciplines based on the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) framework
Barista Skills: Espresso, milk science, and workflow.
Green Coffee: Grading, processing, and sourcing.
Sensory Skills: Professional cupping and flavor analysis.
Roasting: Roasting science and hands-on practice.
The program fee is all-inclusive, covering accommodation, all program-related transportation within Ethiopia, and food. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate that qualifies them for professional barista work.
Your tuition fee covers everything you need:
- Comfortable shared accommodation in Addis Ababa & Kaffa
- All in-country transportation.
- Daily meals with authentic Ethiopian cuisine
- All training sessions and materials
- Certificate of completion (qualifying for barista-level employment)
Weekends are generally off, giving participants time to explore Ethiopia’s vibrant culture. Optional add-ons include:
- Safari adventures
